An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
