Intensive Russian Attacks Cut Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the city came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The assaults follow evenings of air raids in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
